With the printer shipping the first editions of The Slow Lane, get ahead of the public release date to join me in Berlin or London in June for the official launch of the book at two fabulous events.
June 15, 11am-12pm CET, in Berlin or live stream “A Bureaucracy of Unlearning: Speed, Law, Democracy”.
If you work in or with government, you should attend the annual Creative Bureaucracy Festival in Berlin. Over 1,000 international participants from government, politics and civil society will share ideas, experiences and practices to make government a transformative, listening and co-creative force for good in support of real change. In this Mainstage Session, I will be joined by Indy Johar of Dark Matter Labs, Journalist Elina Makri, Achilles Tsaltas of the Democracy and Culture Foundation, and Caroline Paulick-Thiel or Politics for Tomorrow to reimagine leadership, mindsets, and fundamental building blocks of democracy to achieve real change.
June 20, 6.30-8pm GMT in London “The Slow Lane: Why Quick Fixes Fail and How to Achieve Real Change”
Ricky Burdett, the Director of LSE Cities will chair an evening presentation of The Slow Lane at the London School of Economics and Political Science. To discuss The Slow Lane, we will be joined by two extraordinary panelists: Tessy Britton, a social designer, Ashoka Fellow and founder of the Participatory City; and Ellie Cosgrave, director of Publica's Public Interest Company and Research.
